The Sutherland Shire has an established and growing population of koalas that urgently need their habitat and migratory corridors protected.

Why is our local population growing? What pressures and dangers are they facing in urban areas? What is being done to help them?

Join Stephanie Carrick to hear answers to these questions and so much more. This informative presentation will explain what is happening to the koala population across the Sydney Basin and what local community groups are doing to protect our precious icons.

Stephanie Carrick is the manager of the Sydney Basin Koala Network. She works with local community groups to protect precious koala populations across the Sydney Basin Bioregion, with key populations in South West Sydney, the Southern Highlands, the Hawkesbury, the Blue Mountains, Cessnock, and Lake Macquarie.
