Join us for the launch a unique collection of Aboriginal artefacts, donated to Sutherland Shire Council by third-generation boat builder and local identity Fred Matson, and now held in the Sutherland Shire Libraries Local History Collection.
The ‘Matson Collection’, part of which is on display at Sutherland Shire Museum, consists of artefacts including stone, shell and bone tools that were found in the Sutherland Shire.
The collection has been researched by local author Bruce Howell. Each piece has been photographed and detailed into a new publication, which will be available for purchase.
