Note
- Library staff will provide up to 30 minutes of assistance on one problem or question per visit.
- Library staff are not IT specialists. We offer free basic assistance within our capabilities as library staff.
- Library staff will provide information and suggestions in response to your issue but will not operate your device.
- You will need to sign a consent form before the session starts.
We can help with:
- Creating a web-based email address (e.g. Gmail, Outlook).
- Attaching photographs or documents to an email.
- Uploading/downloading photos and files, from anywhere to anywhere.
- Managing social media accounts, including signing up and checking privacy settings.
We cannot help with:
- Advice or assistance with sensitive or financial matters, including passport applications and renewals.
- Repairs on computers, phones or other devices.
- This service is not intended as a replacement for a structured training course; we do not run courses to teach people how to use computers and other devices.
