Can you imagine receiving a prognosis of 12 to 24 months to live?
Come along to this author talk, as skin cancer survivor Anne Gately describes her incredibly brave journey from patient to an advocate for changing cultural attitudes toward sun protection in Australia.
In Sunburnt: a memoir about sun, surf and skin cancer, Anne speaks frankly about her real-life story as a stage IV melanoma survivor and her love of the ocean.
Now cancer-free, Anne strives to make a difference by speaking with various organisations and politicians to aid in preventing future cases.
